By Michael Anastasiadis – Mortgage Broker Wellington
In my role as a Mortgage Broker, I talk to a LOT of people!
This year, my phone has been running hot, as people look to get organised for loans, trying to get on that property ladder, or upgrade, or get a top-up for that new car or home renovations or whatever their goals might be.
For those of you who know me, I genuinely LOVE talking, learning about new people, and using my background to help them out.
With the property marketing being so hot, you’d think I wouldn’t need to attend “old school” networking events, yet I still do.
Why?
It’s the people.
My local BNI is full of people, who are simply wonderful, motivated, interesting, and fun to be around! More importantly, I learn from them too!
It’s not just about business outcomes. It’s about learning, friendship, helping others, and enjoying yourself.
For example – Paula Clarke – https://www.go-arch.co.nz/ – we of course have some great talks about property, especially around building and renovations.
Trevor Lerm from https://www.abbeysigns.co.nz/ comes along, as does Christopher Patterson from https://electroguardsecurity.co.nz/. Andy Soper from https://www.mmiller.co.nz/ is there too, so the mix of people is diverse, and wonderful.
I have sent numerous property investors into the safe hands of Fraser Wilkinson and his team at https://www.managemyrental.co.nz/ to ensure they have the best property managers working for them.
I recommend that anyone, from any industry, gets out of the office, and meets up with other business owners, it’s been a key to my success building a great network, and of course, I get loads of business referrals too, which is a nice bonus!
Naturally, I recommend all of the businesses above as well, they are all wonderful at their craft, and people I trust deeply.
Feel free to reach out to me for a talk about property, finance, and mortgages, or even just cricket… I love to talk!
